On Monday, I received a gift from the Italian carmaker Ferrari. I must admit that I was pretty excited when I found out they were going to give me something. But, it wasn’t what I had in mind. Instead of a new car, they gave me a steering wheel.

I’m sure the average NASCAR fan would adore such a gift, but I’m not a NASCAR kind of guy. I would have preferred a gift certificate for a free facial and massage.

Too bad the 1.1 mil they gave you has to go to charity. Can't you find a way to take a little from the top. Nah, you're the Pope, you can't do such a thing.

On another note, now that you have the steering wheel, maybe you will get the rest of the car for Christmas.

Your Holiness,

What about the manicure and pedicure? NOW you want a facial and a massage? You gotta make up your mind.

If you get a chance, my post for today (Dec. 6th) offers you MUCH better choices.

I'm not into NASCAR either.

Maybe they gave the rest of the car to charity. One can only hope.

Is it possible the the rest of the car is going to carry the Olympic torch?

Your Holiness, my advice: re-gift. Isn't there some Cardinal you could pass that steering wheel off on? Just wrap it up nicely and re-gift!

It's all about the list. You can't expect them to read your mind! Or you have to get one of your dead colleagues to send them a sign. Isn't there some sports bar that you could "donate" the steering wheel to?
