Donating Blood

I received a call from the Red Cross asking me to donate blood.

I’d love to donate blood, but it wouldn’t be appropriate. I mean, papal blood is pure holiness. If that blood gets in the wrong hands (or veins), we could possibly have two holy people on this earth. And I can’t have that.

There’s only room in this world for only holy Pope.

How did the Red Cross get your number?

I'm not sure. My assistant knows better than to pass those types of calls to me. I had to give him a warning.

Most Holy Father, if part of the Eucharist is Christ's blood, which he gave freely, then why is your blood so special? Just asking.

The Red Cross doesn`t take your blood. You are too old.

Well, there's that AND the fact that you have that disease
no one is supposed to know about.

I suppose you're not an organ donor either. Your liver is pretty shot from all the alcohol, and your heart and lungs are just about useless as it is. You might consider donating your corneas though. Seeing through papal eyes could be a very enlightening thing.

Maybe it was someone who wanted to make a profit on your blood, hmmmm.

Actually, the Red Cross in the USA won't let me give blood because I lived in Italy for three years! So maybe they won't even want your holy blood. Just sayin'.

If your holy blood were to be transfused into a non-believer, would it burn?

Actually, Anonymous, they're more likely to make a "prophet" on his blood.

Problem is, not everyone has P+ blood. It's a very rare papal blood type.

In the past there were often two popes. One in Rome and one in Avignon.

I'm in favor of a lot MORE popes! Have blood drawn, load up the Super Soaker and nail a bunch of those pilgrims (read: tourists) who are always hanging out underneath your balcony.

I guess that sale of Pope-blood on Ebay was a bust then, eh?
