The Confessional Booth
Whenever I feel depressed, I get inside the confessional booth and listen to people tell me their sins. It’s amazing how therapeutic the confessional booth can be. Listening to other people’s secret sins is like watching the Jerry Springer show and realizing that your life really isn’t that terrible.

Your Holiness
As Jerry Springer continues to bring families together by pointing out their character flaws, we can ALL learn from his strength and guidance. That includes you, sir. And he has 2 Escalades.
yours in service

Your Holiness,
How are things going at World Youth Day in Germany?
Were you happy with the turnout and crowd support?
I am sorry HP, but the Popemobile is far holyier than any Escalade (of course spinners would totally rule).
I love being back home in Germany, but the World Youd Day event is taking up all my time. I need a beer.
and i know the pope has been known to enjoy a beer or two, as evidenced by this photo:

Hey I saw you on TV tonight on your Germany gig. I must say your left side is the best side for the camera and wow, what a sexy speaking voice! ;-)
The appeal of Jerry Springer should never be mis-understood nor sold short by any means!
I suppose you've never personally confessed anything more serious than maybe a white lie or maybe the sin of gluttony.
I bet the stuff you hear really curls your hair!
I'm pretty sure it's funny... someday you should try putting someone inside the confessional booth so he/she can give you therapy... it's always nice being listened...
Your Holiness,
Mark Twain said, "Confession may be good for my soul but it's bad for my reputation."
Should I listen to Twain or you?
Respectfully yours,
Forgive me Papa for I have sinned... I have laughed at your blog and thought that you should be a late-night comedian instead of God's Vicar. Can I still get body and blood?
While you are in Germany?
Secret sins are good stuff, your Holiness. Go visit http://postsecret.blogspot.com to see some really cool secret sins. I bet you could save a lot of souls over there.
How often do you get depressed?
For your depression the prescription offered is to say the Apostles' Creed. Just once is enough for the time being. For a young priest's depression a few words of swearing to God will do, also known as the boss.
