Long Week

It's rough being Pope. I never have a day off.

I sort of wish I was back being a Cardinal, so I could have a couple days to myself each week. Now that I'm Pope, I'm on call 24 hours a day. There's no rest for the Holy.

Not only am I tired, but I'm sort of upset right now. While driving to the market today, some guy cut me off in his little Jetta. Imagine that? He was talking on his cell phone and wasn't even paying attention to my giant, white Escalade. I could have drove over him.

What infuriated me more was that he had this "Remember John Paul II" sticker on the back of his car. If you're going to represent the Catholic church, don't drive like a maniac.

this seems like a perfect opportunity to market a
I BRAKE FOR DOGMA
bumber sticker

proceeds can aid the church's legal fund

Or you can leave the driving and remembering to someone else.

Your cleaver posts never fail to brighten up the morning!

Maybe that bumper sticker REALLY meant that the driver was pining for the days when Pope John II was pope, and ticked off by the choice of your Holiness. Just a thought.

Yeah, who does that driver think he is? I'm going to make my own bumper sticker.

Clearly you need a Holy Hummer.

In my experience, the worst drivers are those with the most fish stickers / badges on their car. I hate to tell you this your holiness, but most of your flock drive like jerks while sporting yellow and white stickers. You need to make a decree or something

Good idea. You won't find me with any religious or political bumper stickers on the back of my Escalade. I don't want to misrepresent any ideology by my driving. Besides, stickers on a vehicle like mine would look tacky.

Huh. So no "My brother signed me up for the Hitler Youth but all I got was this lousy bumper sticker" bumper sticker?

You really need to consider having the Escalade painted black. I think people would get out of your way more. Big black cars scare the junk out of a lot of people you know.
