My Love of John Milton and Axl Rose

Ten years ago, I wrote many essays concerning my love of Axl Rose and John Milton. Nobody really cared for my papers or my ideas back then, but now that I'm Pope--these papers deserved to be either published or burned.

You can read my essay here and decide.

Those holy essays will eventually be transcribed in your favorite font and installed in the Pope-a-dential Hall of Helvetica Holy Happenings. They may even be presented in 3D. That would make them Holistic.

Holy Cow! Your Papalness certainly has written alot! And I wanted that Milanese guy to be Pope so we could have a Martini every Sunday! Shame on me.

Good idea, Higher Powered.

Erica, there's nothing wrong with wanting a Martini. Just make sure there's an olive in it.

Hi Pope Joe-

I love your blog! You really give the world alot to think about. I never knew you were such literary genius. I'm totally over the whole Hitler youth thing, now that I see what regular guy you really are.
Keep up the great work!

Dear Pope,

The Catholics call you their Holy Father, and you refer to them as your children, right? Well, I know you love Axl Rose--I think it's because one of his songs really resonates with you. Any chance that "Sweet Child O'Mine" might become the official song of the Vatican?

Just checking.

Best,
Esther
