Some Cardinals invited me over for a BBQ to celebrate Memorial Day. We drank some German beer and watched the Phoenix Suns beat the San Antonio Spurs. I was a little disappointed with the Spurs. They were my team. I even said a special blessing for them before the game, but it obviously didn’t work. I’m beginning to doubt my papal power.
Don't worry, we still believe in you.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you set up your own bbq on the balcony at the Vatican? You know, the one you came out on after being elected pope? I guess the velvet curtains might be a fire hazard.
ReplyDeleteYour Holiness, please don't lose faith in your own holy self.
ReplyDeleteRemember that God may have had his own bet on the Phoenix Suns. You are a powerful papal person, but there is one (or three) above you. Better luck with your blessings in the future.
John Paul II. watched soccer on TV. this Pope dosn`t watch sportsgames, he works and plays the piano. Period.
ReplyDeleteTwo thoughts on this:
ReplyDeleteFirstly, maybe you just have to bless harder, or maybe it was the German beer that caused interference.
Secondly, you could have BBQ'd in that room where they create the black or white smoke (it would be safe cuz there's obviously a chimney stack). That would have been a neat joke on the Italians and tourists... they all would have thought there was another Pope elected or something.
I would also check out jetta forum
ReplyDeleteI don't believe that athletic teams should use prayer for strength.
